At Lux Travel DMC, we are committed to protecting the safety, dignity, rights and well-being of children involved in or affected by our tourism activities. We comply with applicable laws and expect our suppliers and partners to uphold the same standards.
Protection from Child Labour and Exploitation
Lux Travel DMC does not employ children or support child labour. We expect our suppliers and partners to comply with applicable minimum-age employment laws and to provide safe and appropriate working conditions for their employees.
We do not support tourism activities that exploit children for entertainment, commercial purposes, photography, fundraising or as tourist attractions.
We promote respectful and appropriate interaction between guests, employees, guides, suppliers and children. Any form of physical, sexual or emotional abuse, harassment, inappropriate touching or other harmful behavior towards children is strictly prohibited.
Children's privacy and dignity must be respected. Photography, filming or use of children's images must only take place with appropriate consent and in accordance with applicable laws and safeguarding principles.
Where tourism or community activities involve children, Lux works with responsible local organizations, schools, communities and suppliers to ensure that activities are appropriate, safe and beneficial to children.
We discourage guests from giving money, gifts or personal items directly to children where this may encourage dependency, begging or exploitation.
Our accommodation suppliers, guides and other relevant partners are expected to comply with Lux Travel DMC's child safeguarding requirements and applicable laws. We communicate these expectations through appropriate agreements, contracts or supplier guidelines.
Any suspected or reported inappropriate behavior involving children must be taken seriously and reported through the appropriate company channels. Lux will take prompt and appropriate action to protect the child and investigate the concern.
Where a supplier or partner is found to have seriously violated child safeguarding requirements, Lux may suspend or terminate the business relationship and take further action in accordance with applicable laws.
Relevant employees, guides and partners receive appropriate guidance and training on child safeguarding, responsible interaction, privacy and reporting procedures.
Lux Travel DMC regularly reviews its tourism activities, suppliers and community initiatives involving children and takes appropriate measures to prevent risks and strengthen child safeguarding practices.
