We respect local customs, traditions, beliefs and cultural practices, and encourage our guests, employees and partners to interact with local communities responsibly and respectfully.
We work with local communities, authorities, site managers and partners to minimize tourism impacts on historical, archaeological, religious and cultural sites. We promote responsible visitor behavior and avoid activities that may damage or disturb cultural heritage.
We support local communities, artisans, cultural practitioners and heritage initiatives through responsible tourism activities, local sourcing and community-based experiences where appropriate.
We aim to provide authentic and meaningful cultural experiences that present local culture accurately and respectfully. We respect local knowledge, traditions and intellectual property and avoid inappropriate commercialization or misrepresentation of culture.
Lux does not support the removal, damage, illegal purchase, sale or trade of archaeological, historical or cultural artefacts. Any handling or use of cultural artefacts must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We respect privacy and obtain appropriate consent for photography and recording. We pay particular attention to the protection and dignity of children and vulnerable people and do not support tourism activities that exploit or use them as tourist attractions.
We provide relevant guidance and training to our employees, guides, drivers and partners and regularly review our cultural tourism practices. Feedback from local communities and guests is used to improve our approach to cultural heritage preservation.
